Projects

For fun, I get involved in a lot of marketing projects, preferably niche SEO ideas. I can’t draw worth a damn, but I can come up with a mean niche marketing plan.

VideoCamp Austin

I’m one of the co-founders of VideoCamp Austin. VideoCamp Austin is a FREE one day ad-hoc gathering of video, public relations, new media, and marketing professionals born from the desire for people to learn about best practices in online video production and distribution in an open environment.

We had 250 people sign up in just a few days. Not too shabby for our first time at bat.

Sweetping

I’m the creator of www.sweetping.com. It’s a lead generation tool that tells you what’s important to the people that are important to you. Built it way before Twitter and Facebook we’re a natural extension of Salesforce. I wound up selling it off after only a few months in beta. Good old Sweetping. I kind of miss you.

Weightnags

Shortly after my wife told me about a UT professor that hired an assistant to nag him about losing weight I built www.weightnags.com as my first Purple Cow trial. You know, “Be irresistible to a tiny group of easily reached sneezers with Otaku.”

After a month, the BBC radio was interviewing me about it and I’m still getting calls.

You can read about WeightNags on www.canada.com, www.springwise.com, and in the April ‘09 issue of Inc.

Buyers Daily

I’m also the co-creator of Buyers Daily. It doesn’t look anything like its original incarnation, Prospect Identify, but it’s got a great sales and technical team now. My work is done.
